If you’re feeling hungry for traditional American food, Wyoming Ale Works gives just that. “I think it’s a very great description of what Wyoming kind of stands for because they serve a lot of game meat options,” said student body Emmett Myers. They have a good variety of options on their menu and all for fair prices. The restaurant is open every day of the week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is located at 5900 E 2nd St. Casper, Wyoming.
Not only does this restaurant have tasty food, but also good service. My family and I were told that it was going to be about a twenty minute wait before we could be seated. Around five minutes later, we were led to our table. However, because the restaurant area is so small, it is pretty loud. You can’t really have any conversation especially when it is busy. The restaurant is a bit overcrowded with how they have all of their tables and chairs set up.
My family’s waitress for the night was energetic and nice. She made sure to check up on us as often as she could even with how busy they were at the time. We had refills on drinks almost as soon as they were finished. She also made sure to check how we wanted our food cooked, what dressings, sides, anything to be taken off, etc. Our food came out at a reasonable time for how many people we had in our party and all of it was well cooked, clearly the cooks took their time on all of it. I think we had a good waitress who gave us good service.
I went there for dinner the other night and ordered the 14 oz ribeye with mashed potatoes. I asked for a medium rare steak, but it came out a little undercooked. However, it still tasted amazing and I was not complaining. The mashed potatoes were also good and made perfectly. They were super buttery, smooth, and perfectly salted.
All together without tax, my meal cost $41.49, with the ribeye at $39.99 and the mashed potatoes at $1.50. All in all, I think that it was pretty well priced and I enjoyed the food a lot.
Over all, I personally rate Wyoming Ale Works a 7.5/10. “It’s pretty good, I haven’t been there in a while. I like the burgers but not bad.” Said freshman Patrick Henry Although it is crowded and very loud, we were served great food and given great service. If you’re in the mood for American food, I would recommend dining at Wyoming Ale Works.
