The Mustang Stampede cheered NC’s football players to a 17-7 win against Thunder Basin last Friday. The Stampede is a motivational student group that attends NCHS games to represent our Mustangs and Fillies. For Friday night’s game the group decked themselves out in various red, white, and blue clothing and face paint.
The players no doubt appreciate the effort of the fans. “Cheering them on makes them like have more motivation and like kinda hypes them up,” said Delaney Oden, member of the Stampede Club. Students can join the club and submit their own ideas for game night themes. “I think Student Council and the Stampede mainly choose the themes,” said Oden. She suggested that if students have an idea for a game night theme, to talk to someone in the club. The club’s student leader is Rian Barthel, who also happens to be Student Body President.
All students are encouraged to join and help root for their Mustangs. “I would say that its really fun you can hang out with your friends and you can be loud and its just like a new energy thats just fun to be around and like fun to be around a lot of people that are happy,” said Oden.
