Student Council is already putting work in to prepare for important events in the upcoming 24-25 school year. Today the group discussed and began work on Community Night, Homecoming, and Senior Sunrise. They met in the school’s library to introduce leadership to newer members and decide on an approach to dividing up responsibilities. Different teams will tackle different tasks for numerous events through the year.
The group ended the planning session with a water balloon fight on the north commons, intended to help break the ice and form lasting friendships for the upcoming school year. “It’s just a way to get an entire group involved with something a little more fun,” said Student Body President Rian Barthel.
Student body senior leadership also includes Cheyenne Crouch (Vice-Prez), Jace Ryan (Secretary), and Thomas Walters (Treasurer). A common goal among all class leaders is a desire to get more of their fellow classmates involved in the school. “I think I’d like it to be more inclusive, and just a better presence overall,” said Walters.
