The National Weather Service office in Riverton, WY has issued a storm warning for Tuesday the 19th of October in the Casper area until 11pm. The warning states that parts of Casper area will get up to an estimated 12 inches of snow through the evening. Forecasts call for it to start raining around 11am and transform into snow before 2pm. Temperatures are expected to drop to low-thirties tonight, which could cause icy and slushy roads.

Wyoming Boulevard and I-25 are the main roads that are going to be the worst. Casper Mountain road may be closed tomorrow. Casper Mountain is expected to get higher amounts of snow. Drivers should visit www.wyoroad.info for the latest travel conditions published by the Wyoming Department of Transportation. Students attending schools in Natrona County should also be aware of the inclement weather protocol developed to help clarify what will be done in the event that weather makes travel conditions to or from school difficult or impossible.
