Mascot Changes From The Mustang to The Trees
April 5, 2021
School officials of NCHS decided to replace NC’s beloved Mustang mascot. Natrona County is going to now be a DUN DUN DUN: Tree!! School officials have decided that Mustangs are too violent of a mascot and they need a change. They were then inspired by the school being surrounded by streets named after trees such as Elm St and Spruce St.
The school officials have said they feel like they are barking up the wrong tree with the Mustang Mascot. All of the surveys taken around the school have been added up and The NCHS Trees was the most popular of the choices. The other two were the Bunnies and Frogs. After spring break, the Mustangs are going to become the Trees.
The students are excited to see the new outfit changes and color changes. From orange and black to green and brown. After careful consideration by the school officials they have decided that a Spruce is the most liked tree and have given the mascot the name Bruce. Bruce the Spruce could be any student and there will be auditions for who Bruce is the day after the ACT. Go to the Mac the Wednesday, April 6 during upperclassman lunch for the opportunity to be the new and improved mascot, Bruce the Spruce! It is important to note that this is all completely false. Happy April Fool’s Day!
