Natrona County High School does a lot to decorate the school for Christmas time. They start the holiday season off by decorating for Thanksgiving, then within a week of being back to school after Thanksgiving break they start with Christmas decorating.  Decorating for Christmas occurs during the beginning of December until the end of December. 

 One of the main things the school does is put up a big Christmas tree in the entrance under the bridge. The tree that they set up has lights, and they decorate it with other ornaments. The school has been doing this for several years and it is always a favorite. This tree immediately catches the eye upon entering the school. This is a few of the students favorite parts of the school’s decorating. 

Another tree is put up in the main office. This tree has ornaments with pictures of peoples pets and a tag saying what they need. Students can go to the office and get a tag, then get the item for that animal. After they get the item they can bring it back to the main office and the school will get it to the student for their pet or pets. This is a great way for the school’s students and staff to help the community during the holiday season.

The school decided to do themed classrooms and hallways this year. Each hallway is decorated with a movie theme. A few of the themes in the hallways are The Polar Express, The Grinch and Home Alone. Most of the students’ favorite hallway is Home Alone, which is on the second floor. One morning in that hallway they had all of the lights off and just used the Christmas lights; the students seemed to like this.

 The lights that teachers put in their classrooms, and the lights in the hallways are another of the students’ favorite parts. Some of the students favorite Christmas decorations that the school has are the lights that they put up around the school and classrooms. 

The teachers decorate their classrooms in lots of different ways. The teachers put up their own Christmas trees and they put up lights inside the classrooms. The teachers have been decorating for years during this holiday time because it brings joy to the students and their school life.
